Art has a café on an outdoor deck (as a demonstration of how warm it is in North Carolina, people drink coffee out on the deck year-round.) Like Art Deco, get it? Ha, ha.

Hit the Deck! is what people say in action movies when they see something flying towards them - it means get on the ground quickly. I'm pretty sure Art just wants you to come sit on his deck. I didn't see anybody lying on it when I was there.
