McGruff the Crime Dog has been dispensing good advice on crime fighting since 1980, and here he is in Western North Carolina, letting us know that crime bites. If something bites, it's bad. Actually, used this way, bites is a synonym for sucks, but for some reason, the National Crime Prevention Council decided against saying, "Crime sucks. Suck back." Or maybe they're just saving that line for McGruff the Crime Octopus.
