drag

Definition:
(noun)
Clothes of the opposite sex (usually women's clothes worn by men)
Examples:
Mark was never able to think of his boss in quite the same way after
seeing him in drag.
Quote:
"I'd come out in full drag and the crew would say, 'Wow, Matt, you're really ugly.'"
Sometimes, gay men who like to dress as women are called drag queens.
This term is not generally used for straight (heterosexual) men
who like to wear women's clothing (yes, they exist!) That expression comes
from drag plus queen, which is a derogatory term for a very
feminine gay man. Although you don't see them as often, lesbian women
sometimes dress as men to become drag kings. Unlike queen, the
word king does not have a negative meaning by itself and is not used to
describe lesbians except with drag.
As an interesting aside, country singer Dolly Parton once said, "It's
a good thing I'm a real woman, because if I wasn't I'd have to be a big
ol' drag queen." Famous drag queen RuPaul agrees, "I
am very similar to Dolly Parton. Dolly Parton is a drag queen.
Madonna is a drag queen. Being a drag queen has nothing
to do with being male or female. I mean, Prince is in drag. Hello!
Elvis is a drag queen." Neither Madonna nor Prince could be
reached for comment.
